I waited all year to write this. Initially, I had this enormous plan to write a super passionate, in-depth novel about all the things that changed around (and within) me this year. Personally, I now want to hold onto those stories. Here's an overview though.

In the course of a year I:

- Experienced a personal revelation that took me back to my core and fully transformed my perspective on my entire life.

- Was technically homeless and couch-surfed through a few close friends and mentors homes'.

- Reignited love again both in a relationship and with myself.

- Said goodbye to my grandma, while navigating the reality of death as an adult.

- Deeply assessed personal connections and how I can be better in them.

- Shaved my hair off to start my natural hair journey again.

- Said goodbye to my West Coast Fam and communities.

- Said hello to my East Coast world and a new job upon moving to New York.

- Learned my limits and pushed past them (sometimes uncontrollably, but I'm still standing).

- Found my creative voice again.

- Finally started listening and taking care of my body, soul, and mind.

- Confronted the ugliest and most painful forms of my insecurities and pain.

- Can walk away ready to leave the past in the past, and continue to grow from the new seeds I've planted in my life.

2018 I created the hashtag #theyearitallchanges and I lived up to that in every capacity. Onward and Upward. I'm excited to see what will manifest in 2019. Thanks for being along on this journey, I appreciate your support more than you know. One of the ways I'm doing so is staying off social media for awhile, so if you want to stay connected, subscribe to my site. :)

Sending love and light always.

Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Shelbs
